Episode #202 marks a new look for the site, and I’d like to also welcome Chris Farrell, my new business partner. You’ll be seeing Chris in some future episodes of the show, he’s a really great presenter!
Recently the TSA developed an app to direct passengers randomly. The problem was that they apparently spent $1.4 MILLION on this project! It’s a good reminder to account for ALL expenses very carefully, and get multiple quotes / estimates for projects.
On a more positive note, I love young entrepreneurs! I came across a 13 year old lad who’s offering to take out and bring in his neighbor’s trash cans, for a fee! I love this kind of ingenuity and hustle. Its a great start to his small business ?
It was a great delight for me to take the “Help My Business” mastermind group behind the scenes at QVC recently. QVC is the largest TV retailer in the world, dominating the world of selling. It’s been going since 1996 and it’s become a global phenomenon, broadcasting live, 24/7 from West Chester, Pennsylvania.
They have 350,000+ items in stock at any one time, and the presenters have no scripts, they just talk! We watched a live show from within one of the vast sound stages, and it was really interesting to see how they manage live selling!
This episode features the great new segment – “Tech Tips for Business” with Luria Petrucci of Geeks University. (who used to go by Cali Lewis). Each week she’ll be sharing useful tech tips for your business.
Remember to watch to the end of the show to see our “What Were They Thinking?!” moment!
