I was surprised and delighted to receive a letter from THE Mr Donald Trump this week.  Turns out he had watched the episode where I talked about and review the excellent Celebrity Appprence TV show.  If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it because there’s so much to learn from the world of marketing and business.  Mr Trump very kindly sent a handwritten note where he acknowledged my work.  I’m blown away that he took the trouble to do that with the more time consuming format of a letter, rather than an email.  That says a lot about him, and I was thrilled to receive it. 

Actually, in my own business I’m always on the lookout for snippets of information, news items, or articles that I can send to members of my Magical Mastermind group, and anyone else who I can help and support.  Could you do something similar in your business?  It’s amazing what a personal touch like that can accomplish.  I’ve told many many people about Trump contacting me, and that of course sheds him in a very positive light, which makes him an extremely smart, astute business man.  Yes, he’s not everyone’s cup of tea – I know that, and he knows that, BUT you cannot fail to be impressed by the fact that he took the time and trouble to send little ‘ol me a personal, handwritten note via the mail.

There’s a great resource for you this week in the form of training videos on various ‘how to’ topics.  The commonality is that all the videos are animations of some sort, and you can definitely learn a lot from watching them.

The BIG marketing lesson comes from the popular women’s clothing and accessories store, Anthropologie.
