I signed up for a service called ‘Clear’ which, for a modest fee, was designed to whisk travelers through the airport, avoiding the usual security bottlenecks. Just one problem – the company went out of business. My opinion on this is that they charged far too LITTLE (they under valued their service) and they only had a single revenue stream, which is always a bad idea. I’ll share my story in this episode with you.

If you’re a marketing geek like me, you’ll love MarketingExperiments.com, a site that conducts all kinds of marketing tests and then shares the results.

I love IKEA. They’ve revolutionized the way that people buy home furniture. This week I’ll share a marketing concept that IKEA use that you may not have thought about before – event based marketing. And I don’t mean ‘event’ in the traditional sense of the word. In marketing, an event is simply a REASON for people to come back. Make sure YOU give people regular reasons to return.

  1. Hi Andrew, I tried to click on the interview with Gunson, and got a “unable to find the server” message. Could it be the wrong url? Or maybe the server is flooded with your viewers…

    Thanks, great show as always.

PS: I know it’s not really applicable to you, being the web wiz you are, but if you’d like an “Analog Brain In A Digital World” t-shirt, I’d be happy to send you one as a thank you for all your helpful info.

  4. The Link Issue.

I found that if you remove the “/” at the end of the url, it will work.

    Have it look like this:

  6. Undercharging is a mistake that most business owners make (including myself). We think that this is the way to attract customers faster, when reality is that Trust, Testimonials (including Word of Mouth), referrals is the name of the game. People will pay many $1,000 more for a BMW than a Chevrolet

  7. Just to let you know, the link to view your interview with John doesn’t work. I went straight to the site and the video only lets me view 30 seconds of it, then it freezes and keeps “loading”.
