Episode #16 - Ever spiraling gas / petrol prices seem to be the hot topic of the moment, and I show some creative ways that people have come up with to cope. I also present some practical ideas of my own.

The viewer question comes from a guy in the health niche who believes that he doesn’t have any competition. I explain why he has LOTS of competition, and what to do about it. Apply the principle to YOUR business.

Finally, the BIG marketing lesson comes from Google, a company that needs no introduction. It’s interesting to look at what Google did when they brought their search engine to the marketplace because it was a VERY crowded market, yet they managed to dominate, even obliterate their competition - I’ll explain exactly what they did.

I’m delighted to announce the winners of the Magical Marketing E xperience adventure in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida on August 19th - 21st, 2008. The winners (and their videos) are:

Louie Bernstein - Video

Pete Genot - Video

  1. Great episode, Andrew.

Google also gained momentum by indexing new pages quicker than other engines… they became the webmaster’s favourite, taking over from Infoseek. Of course, the simple interface was a brilliant idea and probably helped them the most. :)
