Somewhere along the line genuine friendliness got lost in the business world. Ask any Joe or Jane what comes to mind when you say &quot;business&quot; or &quot;corporate&quot; and you&#039;ll probably get &quot;stiff&quot;, &quot;unfriendly&quot;, &quot;backstabbing&quot;, ouch that&#039;s a lot of negative! And no wonder! These connotations came about through false smiles and tricky tactics. People don&#039;t trust businesses anymore. And it will take (IMHO) a genuine desire to help customers for this to change. Not a &quot;I&#039;ll help you if you help me&quot; attitude, mind you, but a &quot;I&#039;ll help you even if I don&#039;t get anything out of it&quot; attitude. That&#039;s one of the things I love about this show!

I enjoy your videos. Here&#039;s a recent story for you. We were looking at putting a new roof on our house. We got three quotes, but the last one was from a man who showed us why we didn&#039;t really need a new roof this year. He suggested waiting a year and looking at the roof again. We saved his number and will call him next year.

On a personal note. I was shopping once in a music store and noticed a gentleman that looked confused. I stopped to help him purchase what I thought were very good instructional books for guitar and told him tips for his learning.

When he later discovered I was a teacher, he ended up taking lessons from me.
