I agree with Randy. We have to overcome our own ingrained fears. We spend 12 years in school being conditioned (when we are most open and trusting) to be obedient, wait for permission, and to “tuck” ourselves into other people’s (and employers) plans . Very difficult to overcome. THIS is what is most necessary to be overcome!
Andrew, When you find the entrepreneur that is most consistently helping people to Do This, please feature them on the show.
There is no shortage of information on what to do or how to do it or where to find the people to help you do it. The person that helps them find the way to overcome their conditioning (Consistently!) is the person that has “cracked the code”! I am emphasize consistently because I want to encourage you to find the entrepreneur that is offering more than a seminar or weekend retreat or feel-good experience, but a consistent training program that will help people to overcome that early childhood conditioning.

Randy really hit it on the head when discussing the importance and value of a mentor. Someone who is going to give you the news you may not want to hear, but need to, is invaluable. Get your ego out of the way and practice judgement free awareness when both giving and receiving feedback.
PS – raising four daughters makes Randy an expert more than anything

Randy cirtainly has a very healthy attitude to life and what you want out of it, your questions Andrew I thought where asked in a way that drew the best answers for him.

The show has aired just in time! Thank you! As I sat debating with myself this morning, I really need to get a mentor, I know what to do and pretty much how, but I am not doing it? Thanks for the virtual “kick in the pants” As always great guest Andrew.

Thank you Andrew, Another great show.

Andrew ~ excellent show as always, but truly enjoyed this. So many great points but what struck me the most is the few times in the interview that “you” were struck by his comments. It’s great to see what inspires you and what makes you think.
I also love the mentor component. Not many successful people can “go it alone.”
Thx and keep em coming!

Andrew, Interesting show this week. Randy proposes something that many in business know they should have someone in their corner but are unaware as to how to go about it. Whether you want to call this someone a mentor or a coach doesn’t matter. One is a lonely number, especially in business.
I’ve been a mentor to dozens of business people and I have my own mentor. Find someone that has your best interests at heart and you can’t help but be on your way to success and enjoyment.
Thanks again,
Hal Hoadley

The social sciences have given marketing researchers the basics for understanding why people buy certain products and services as opposed to others. Psychologists and sociologists have probed motives, wants, perceptions, attitudes, how people learn and forget, and individual needs both learned and innate. However, most will agree that the key to understanding why people buy, and for that matter all human behavior, it to first understand what they believe in

Andrew, did you just implement a new technique whereby viewers have to share the episode in order to continue with the show? I think that can be brilliant in spreading the word about your show but at the same time it can hurt the show because people might be thinking that you are holding them hostage to share their network with you.

Not only are there far better self help books than this, but the authors also ask you to fill out an online questionnaire to accompany the exercises. After doing this, their company contacts you and tries to sell their cookie cutter coaching service for anywhere between $2000 – $16,000. When you decline their offer they get very personal, pushy and manipulative. A quick search on the net also shows that a lot of people feel they have been conned by these guys and have not received what they were promised. My advice would be to steer well clear of them, they’re not accredited by the International Coach Federation and they’re the sort of operation that give coaches a bad name!

Hi Andrew, rik here, one of your happy UIBC students! Love this audio interview and how you explained that when you went to your family to ask what they think are your natural strengts you ended up doing what you are doing today! Did they also mention being funny, because your trainings are always wonderful to attend because of this. All the best and many thanks for your help,
Rik

TRUE!!!!! Starting your own business that you love and envisioned is hard but going for it is definitely worth it! Let me just share this. A lot of business opportunity and career are offered in today’s time and most of the time people would want the easy way up. Faster income and big cash. Well, everybody loves that but nothing beats following what field you love. If you want a business make sure you are passionate about it because throughout time, it will be about you and how you live your everyday life with your work.
