Another brilliant episode, Andrew.
How clever and innovative of Tesco. They did their homework and it paid off. When I first learned about QR codes, I was so excited about the possibilities, but failed to take action. Watching this is what I needed to actually do something. Thanks!

Great episode espcially the story about Tesco — I work with a lot of mobile applications and trying to get executives to see the possibilities of where mobile is going is sometimes a very slow process. This was a great example.

I really enjoyed the TESCO piece…. but I don’t know if you can be any smarter or more creative than the “hold-my-muffler” strap! GENIUS!
and SAM last year was absolutely amazing!
February 9th, 2012 at 9:28 am
It was nice a experience, i really enjoyed. Thanks for the valuable tips about money saving, i learned so many goods things.
February 9th, 2012 at 9:41 am
It is my first time watching the not live show since i miss it last night but it great to lol with the money saving tips, feel so good to laugh sometimes.Tesco surely understand where the future is leaning to and put it into action right away. It is a little scary though how fast is the technology cause if you dont open your eyes in a blink then you are left behind but I do agree how great it does if you are a tech savvy and kind of have no choice to go with the flow.

Awesome show like always! Love the hilarious money saving tips. I always wonder how can you take the task of grocery shopping into an efficient online model. Now I know, awesome video about Home Plus.
February 9th, 2012 at 10:30 am
It is nice!
February 9th, 2012 at 10:56 am
Another excellent episode. I wonder how the guy who moved the steering wheel to the right side actually makes the car go, since the pedals are still on the left! Hmmm…”back to the drawing board.” Or, in this case…”time to open another box of Crayons.”
February 9th, 2012 at 10:58 am
This video is really informative….I feel I have gained knowledge in many areas just within 20 minutes…..The starting of the video itself was a really funny but creative way to save money..I really liked the way iron box can be used as a substitute for kettle, and also the washing machine instead of a ice bucket!!!wow…amazing ideas…..and the creative thinking of TESCO is mind-blowing, the way they adapted to the lifestyle of Koreans is a superb concept..it helps us understand how we should understand the people needs while operating a business. The information provided on QR codes was also really helpful!!!

Tesco is amazing. Fantastic idea. I heard of Asda (WalMart in UK) working on similar features but Tesco was faster
I love the fact that they managed to display several facings of one product, something very important when it comes to shopper marketing and category management. QR-codes are definitely the future. I hope Europe will catch up soon.

Hi Andrew,
I absolutely loved this week’s show. Had a good laugh about how people try to save money. The steering wheel idea was just crazy!
With regards to the Tescos idea – that seemed very creative. My wife has been shopping online with Tescos for several years. Showing the virtual products in the subway is I guess a far more interactive (and enjoyable experience) as compared to looking at the same products, in miniature, on a computer monitor!
One of the lessons to be gleaned from this is how do we make the buying process more fun and engaging for our customers and prospects.
Thanks again Andrew – a brilliant episode!

oh, what a great informative video. I like this and nice tips for money saving ideas especially, Tesco is one of the most interesting. Thanks for giving this opportunity.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:19 pm
Excellent presentation. The tesco move seemed impressive at first, but then I wondered… why not just make it fully online and skip the scan codes from painted products part?
But then I guess it does have a strong marketing appeal the way it is done.
Oh, and the car wheel thing really is an accident waiting to happen
February 10th, 2012 at 10:23 pm
it was nice a information.i really enjoy. Thanks for your kind tips

Love love love the Tesco evolution. Perfect example of outstanding brand innovation through LISTENING and UNDERSTANDING to your client’s biggest PAIN POINTS.
Money if often a great catalyst for change and innovation. See, if Tesco did not encounter a profitability problem, that innovation would not have been discovered.
Thanks for sharing. It’s very inspiring!

AD is necessary even for small business
I can understand for a business any cost is painful and as a boss you should cut your cost as much as possible. but I still think the AD is necessary, how could you do your business without knowing by your potential customer. Even the ad is not that effective than before, it’s till a powerful way to make others know your existence.

I have a quick suggestion for local businesses using AdWords.
The problem with AdWords for small businesses is that their audience is local (geographically limited) and there are very few searches that are available for buying keywords.
My suggestion is to utilize mobile ads as much as you can. You can enter your business phone number as “call to action”. Also, make sure you set your sitelinks. List your business on Google Places and advertise there as well. There is no control over your keywords, but your business will be featured in maps. Learn more about how to become more visible online at Get Listed
Here are some helpful resources for better online exposure for local businesses:

You really do have a way to stir people’s mind! I could use that washing machine idea for my next part! I won’t have to borrow extra coolers then! LOL WIth regards to adwords, I kinda agree that it’s marketing effect was not as good as before. The more the market know it’s an ad, especially if it does not interest them, the more it won’t be viewed!
